U16 Indoor/Outdoor Team

Field Hockey Nova Scotia will be putting together a U16 Indoor/Outdoor team.  The team is open to girls born in 2000 of later. The team will be together from mid September til mid December. The team will spend the first 6 weeks outside on the Dal turf and then moving indoors until December.

The plan then is to travel to Toronto to compete at a U16 indoor tournament (Toronto Cup) in December.   Although the hope is that all athletes compete in the tournament, this is not a pre-requisite.   Practices will be on the weekends, depending on gym/turf availability.

As previously mentioned, this is a team not just skill sessions.  The girls will improve their individual skill set, overall understanding of field hockey strategies and tactics, fundamental movement skills needed for field hockey and of course will have a lot of fun.   The girls will be expected to come with the attitude to work hard and learn a lot.  There will be no tryouts for this team, any girl willing to commit to the above are welcome.

The first practice is on Saturday, September 10th 11:00am - 1:00pm at DAL (turf #3).

The cost per athlete is $175 for the 12 week season (this does not include the trip to Toronto).
