Outdoor - Atlantic University Club League
A Bit of History
This league has been running since 1952 with teams from Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and was part of the Atlantic University Sport (AUS) and Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS).
The only AUS team to win the CIS Championships was the 1976 Dalhousie University team. The event was played at Dalhousie University.
After losing some teams, the event became part of the Maritime Women’s Intercollegiate Athletic Union but efforts are underway to become recognized as an AUS sport again.
Mount Allison University (winners in 1954, 1959, and 1961) are forming a team and hoping to join the league in 2011. FHNS has loaned the university equipment to help them get started.
The current teams include:

Based on their standings in the round-robin, teams are classified into two pools and play a round-robin in each pool. The winners of each pool play each other in the finals to see who will represent the Atlantic conference at the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) Tournament.
