Welcome to Field Hockey Nova Scotia!

Field Hockey Nova Scotia's members consist of players of all ages and skill levels. If you haven't played the sport, why not give it a try? We have practice sessions that are specifically designed to introduce you to the game. If you're a competitive player, then consider joining one of our club teams to participate in our Summer and Winter leagues.

  • Canadian Team Sport Coalition (CTSC) releases its research report Full Team Ahead to the general public. The report reveals many facts and insights into the benefits team sport contributes to Canadian society. The report is meant as our first point of contact with the public and is to be used as the foundation of our lobbying efforts against the large funding disparity team sport currently faces from the federal government.   • Indoor Season - The Indoor Season commences in early January. Contact your club captain to register or if you do not have a team, contact Sharon Rajaraman.

Recent Highlights

  • 2009 Summer Outdoor League - In what was the closest fought league in many years, the Panthers tied the Cougars with 17 points each in the league and won the title on goal average, breaking the Cougars' five-year hold of the title.

    The Panthers then followed up by beating the Cougars in the playoffs 1-0 with only seconds to spare in an exciting match. Shane Rajaraman scored the winning goal and was also awarded the League's Top Scorer Award with 8 goals winning this title by a margin of  6 goals.

  • The 2009 Atlantic Cup - The powerhouse Andrews 'A' Team kept their winning streak intact by defeating the visiting Toronto FHC (captained by former Nova Scotian Phil Wilkinson) in the finals.
